Week 7:Assignment 2

This week I included more sources that I found on Leatherby Libraries I really like that search engine it is easy to use and gives you exactly what you need I found an article that I liked basically on psychology 101. So the basics on psychology I could use it to open up my research paper with.

I feel my audience will love all of my sources on Forensic Psychology. I find that area very interesting and think they will enjoy it as well.

Week 6: Assignment 2

What helped me was that you have to cite someone's ideas and someone's words differently I never knew that.
I feel these ideas will help me in the future greatly because I have apparently been doing them wrong and now I know the correct way and can hopefully do better on future citations

Week 5: Assignment 2

The article I chose was “These are the things I may never learn from books’. Clinical psychology students’ experiences of their development of practical wisdom.” By Elisabeth Punzi Department of Psychology, University of Gothenburg, Gothenburg, Sweden.

Punzi suggests that not only do you need to have studied psychology but you also need the wisdom in order to be a great psychologist. I felt that this article helped me gain more knowledge on my topic because it didn’t tell me what every other topic told me which was straight from a book or article it tells me that you need to have the basic wisdom as well to be  great psychologist. The search strategies I took was reaserching through the Leatherby Libraries located on Chapman University’s home page. For some reason it took me a good thirty minutes to find an article that I found interesting but I finally found one and I really enjoyed it.

Week 3: Assignment 4

The knowledge I gained about this weeks findings was that data showed that many of these Adolescent offenders showed that they had high levels of poor relationships suggesting an experience of greater socio-emotional isolation. Marina Bazan also furthered her studies so she could analyze the interactions between the coexisting aspects in the family, at school and with peers.

I used the same strategies as I did last week to find my article.

There was surprisingly no frustration in finding this article this week very simple and straight forward

Week 3: Assingment 2

For his Blog I chose Lifting the Veil of Mental Illness: An Approach to Anthroposophical Psychology by William Bento, because the title really spoke to me and when I looked within the Table of Contents I saw Chapter like Obsessions, Compulsions and Addiction: Disorders of Our Time, The Myths of Depression and Mania and Psychosis or Initiation to name a few all of these chapter including the title really jumped out to me.
The knowledge I gained from my topic this week was How Bento sees Mental illness in a different way then others do and I am excited to find out what way that is. The search Strategies I used was searching through the Leatherby Libraries located in Chapmans web page the difficulties I faced was that the link given did not work so I had to search it myself through google.

Week 2, Assignment 2

The knowledge I gained from Assignment one was I found out not only a new why to reseach by going through the schools libraries but also all the different jobs I could get by following the path of Forensic Psychology there is working in prisons, jails, rehabilitation centers, police departments, law firms, schools, government agencies, or in private practice, to name a few.

The new research strategy I used was Blackwell Reference online which is through Chapman/Brandman libraries I was surprised to see just how many articles came up when I typed in psychology law. An aspect I would like to research further would be working in prisons and how that would be.
