The article I
chose was “These are the things I may never learn from books’. Clinical
psychology students’ experiences of their development of practical wisdom.” By
Elisabeth Punzi Department of Psychology, University of Gothenburg, Gothenburg,
Sweden.
Punzi
suggests that not only do you need to have studied psychology but you also need
the wisdom in order to be a great psychologist. I felt that this article helped
me gain more knowledge on my topic because it didn’t tell me what every other
topic told me which was straight from a book or article it tells me that you
need to have the basic wisdom as well to be
great psychologist. The search strategies I took was reaserching through
the Leatherby Libraries located on Chapman University’s home page. For some
reason it took me a good thirty minutes to find an article that I found
interesting but I finally found one and I really enjoyed it.
I really liked how you are search for what is not so typical specially witht he field you are going into. Books can only provide with so much knowledge it is not until you learn to apply the knowledge that it will make sense. The fact that you are taking your time only demonstrates to me that you are seeking find value in your search. I am trying to do the same with my research. I find it a bit difficult, but to be honest I have not learn so much about research as I have done so in this class. What kind of psychologist are you going to be and how has this research assist you in the development of your career?
