For his Blog I chose Lifting the
Veil of Mental Illness: An Approach to Anthroposophical
Psychology by William Bento, because the title really spoke to me and when I
looked within the Table of Contents I saw Chapter like Obsessions, Compulsions
and Addiction: Disorders of Our Time, The Myths of Depression and Mania and Psychosis
or Initiation to name a few all of these chapter including the title really
jumped out to me.
The knowledge I gained from my topic this week was How Bento sees Mental illness in a different way then others do and I am excited to find out what way that is. The search Strategies I used was searching through the Leatherby Libraries located in Chapmans web page the difficulties I faced was that the link given did not work so I had to search it myself through google.
Hello Danielle
ReplyDeleteI really like the title. It really is an attention getter I commend you for wanting to go into to this field. I currently work as a Case Manager and numerous times find myself during what feel like a therapeutic session. I do not proceed with it but do have to defuse the fires or the tears at times. I also found things did not work during the research or it was just not the right type of information. I am really enjoying this class because I do lack research skills.

Hi Danielle,
ReplyDeleteI like the topic that you pick for your paper. I am researching PTSD in returning soldiers so they are similar. I think that you will get a lot out of this topic to carry with you for a long time. I see that the research process is starting to go better for you; I hope this continues and you can use some of the tips from this class in other areas of your professional life. I found that google is better for research myself. Do you have a more precise topic yet? Good luck to you in your research.
